Abstract
This chapter in a book on the history of the Finnish Partek corporation. The analysis concentrates on the power and powerlessness of corporate management in two different time periods. in the focus of the analysis are the crucial role of social capital and the importance of developing specific management knowhow. There are twon versions of the book : one in Finnish and one in Swedish.
