Abstract
The case illustrates development of burnout and its underlying complexities. It tells a story of 'Ann', a young and dedicated project manager in an organization where poor organization of work fuels a culture of overwork. In addition to a heavy workload, Ann must tackle interpersonal tensions both within her team and with the client. These factors that pertain to the organizational and social environment of work contribute contribute to burnout. The case illustrates, how Ann's work demands spill over to her personal life as the problems escalate.
