As AI chatbots become pervasive in consumer services, there is a growing need to measure the ethical consequences on how human relationships evolve due to AI chatbot interaction. Focusing on companionship usage of AI Chatbots, this paper explores both the deontological (moral principle), and teleological (consequential) aspects by analysing user reviews. Findings show that individual and collective behaviours do impact human to human relationships in both positive and negative ways.
