Abstract
This paper presents the theoretical groundings of an on-going research on the construction of demand and thus of offer in project business. It is based on a review of constructivist approaches in the social sciences and on the consumer evolution towards co-design of the offer in our postmodern societies. The analysis is applied to an extreme case i.e. the joint construction of a capital-project between the supplier, the client, and other actors of the milieu. The choice of the socio-technical graph approach as research method is justified by the relevance of this method to follow the social construction of technical innovations. The aim of the research is to investigate the possible strategies of co-construction of offer and demand.
