Abstract
On 24 February 2022, Russia invaded Ukraine. The aggression triggered a swift response from most western countries which introduced drastic economic sanctions on the Russian economy. Between the regulatory requirements and the negative public image, most consulting firms decided to cease operations in Russia within a matter of weeks. This was however no easy task and different solutions have been adopted. This article is a tribute to the heroic resistance of the Ukrainian people – among which consultants who died on the frontline or in attacks on civilian population.
