Abstract
Amid technological change, widespread disease, climate crises, as well as economic and political instability, expertise is critical to humanity now more than ever before. And yet, anti-intellectualism currently runs rife, characterised by a preference for simple, unnuanced solutions, and a growing distrust and disdain for experts.
