Abstract
Cet article a pour objectif d’étudier la relation entre le concept de performance et de crise. S’éloigant des définitions classiques de la crise souvent perçue comme le point de départ d’une situation inédite et exceptionnelle, nous la considérons plutôt comme le point d’arrivée d’un processus d’accumulation d’anomalies conjugué à une myopie et une ignorance managériale croissante conduisant à la rupture. La performance contribue à semer le terreau du développement de comportements, de croyances, de valeurs et de décisions à risque en altérant la lucidité des managers sur l’installation de cette fragilité., This paper explores the relation between performance and crisis. Unlike most conventional defintions that consider that crises is the starting point of an exceptional and unprecedented situation, crises are seen as cumulative process of anomalies combined with an increasing state of mangerial myopia and ignorance that lead to the radical breakthrough.Performance contributes to lay the conditions for crises to accur both by insulating inappropriate behaviors, beliefs, values, and decisions and by altering the lucidity of managers about this increasing fragility.
