Ajay KUMAR

Ajay is a Full Professor (w.e.f. 1 September 2026) of "AI & Business Analytics" at EMLYON Business School, France. He is also affiliated with the MIT Sloan School of Management, United States, as a Visiting Scholar. His research investigates the design, adoption, and impact of Generative AI, Agentic AI, and intelligent information systems. He examines how individuals and organizations interact with AI technologies, focusing on human–AI collaboration, AI-enabled decision-making, responsible AI, and the behavioral and organizational consequences of intelligent systems. His work contributes to advancing the understanding of how next-generation AI technologies reshaping business, work, and society. His research has appeared or is forthcoming in prestigious academic journals (FT-50/UTD-24/AIS Senior Scholars' List of Premier Journals) such as Production & Operations Management, INFORMS Journal on Computing, Harvard Business Review, Journal of Management Information Systems, Journal of the Association for Information Systems, Journal of Operations Management, Manufacturing and Service Operations Management, Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of Information Technology, European Journal of Information Systems, Decision Support Systems, California Management Review, and Decision Sciences.

Ajay currently serves as an Associate Editor for several prestigious journals, including Management Science (UTD24), INFORMS Journal on Computing (UTD24), Information Systems Journal (ABS/AJG-4), and Decision Sciences (ABS/AJG-3*). He has also held guest editor role for special issues in journals, including INFORMS Journal on Computing, Journal of Management Information Systems, Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, Information Systems Journal, and Decision Support Systems.
