Expertise

I am a Professor of Sociology and Director of the Organizations, Critical and Ethnographic perspectives research center (OCE).

I study individual and collective forms of resistance in the workplace and in the public arena. Political domination trends lie at the heart of my work.

I believe that research into the social sciences cannot help but be political because it requires a genuine commitment from the researcher allowing them to take a stand. To do so, I practice ethnographic observation which is crucial to my teaching. Ethnography allows us to take an intimate look at the issues which deeply concern people at work today: how to build genuine solidarity. How to fight dehumanization of work/at work? Is there any room for morality in neo-liberal organizations?
