Emmanuelle Dubocage is a Full Professor specialising in corporate finance with a strong interdisciplinary focus on entrepreneurship and governance. She began her academic journey with a degree in statistical engineering, followed by a research master's degree (cum laude, ranked first) at the École Normal Supérieure de Cachan and a PhD in economics from Sorbonne Paris Nord, where her thesis on venture capital earned her two thesis awards. She began her academic career in 2004 as an Associate Professor at Paris-Saclay University, later joining Paris-Est Créteil University in 2017 as a Full Professor. From 2019 to 2023, she directed the Management Research Institute and served as Deputy Director of Research at IAE Paris Est from 2020 to 2023. During the same period, she was appointed Vice President of Financial Affairs at Paris-Est Créteil University. In 2024, she became Scientific Advisor of the High Council for Evaluation and Research (HCERES).Her research is at the crossroads of corporate finance, entrepreneurship, and governance, with a focus on venture capital and social and environmental impact investing. She has published 24 peer-reviewed articles in journals such as Review of Quantitative Finance and Accounting, Ecological Economics, and Technological Forecasting and Social Change. She also serves as Associate Editor-in-Chief of Finance Contrôle et Stratégie. She contributes regularly to other media such as The Conversation. Her teaching focuses on corporate finance: financial analysis, financial policy, business valuation, entrepreneurship, venture capital and impact finance at undergraduate, postgraduate levels and in executive education programmes, both for initial training and continuing education.
