Expertise

Guillaume Carton's research focuses on strategic management. One area focuses on the development and dissemination of strategy within organizations by relying on performativity and related concepts. The goal is to examine strategy in light of today's grand challenges. Another area lies at the intersection of strategic management and corporate social responsibility. This area of research explores ways to develop corporate strategies that are less harmful to the environment. A third area of research focuses on the various individuals who engage in strategic planning, particularly top management teams, to understand their strategic decision-making processes, as well as management consultants, to understand their role in producing strategic work.

In terms of methodology, his work focuses on qualitative research, historical research, and organizational ethnography.
