Jeanne Roche is an Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship. She completed her PhD at IE Business School in Madrid, where she specialized in social entrepreneurship. Her research focues on the individuals and organizations shaping the evolving field of social entrepreneurship—such as impact investors, cross-sector collaborators, and public audiences—and how they influence its potential to generate meaningful social impact. One stream of her work explores the motivations of heirs from prominent business families who engage in impact investing. Another examines how social enterprises partner with commercial firms and how these collaborations affect their ability to scale and sustain impact. She also investigates how perceptions of impact—its visibility and perceived depth—shape stakeholder support. Her research has received several awards and recognitions at international conferences. Alongside her research, Jeanne is an engaged educator committed to helping future leaders and entrepreneurs develop thoughtful, impact-driven approaches to business. She teaches courses in social entrepreneurship and social innovation and has received several awards for teaching excellence. She is also a certified facilitator for the Climate Fresk, a science-based workshop designed to raise awareness and inspire action on climate change.
