Expertise
With over twenty years of experience spanning executive coaching, leadership development, and academia, I bring a distinctive, practice-grounded approach to teaching, research, and institutional engagement. My non-traditional academic trajectory, built on a prior career in the corporate world, positions me to bridge theoretical rigour with real-world organisational insight. This perspective informs my commitment to designing meaningful learning experiences that connect concepts to lived practice across diverse audiences: from undergraduate and graduate students to executives and doctoral candidates. I am particularly dedicated to supporting mature learners, fostering reflexive thinking, and helping translate leadership theory into ethical, impactful action.
Having lived and worked across the Middle East and Europe, I thrive in multicultural environments and bring a global, intercultural sensibility to both pedagogy and research. My work emphasises inclusion, dialogue, and critical reflection, with a sustained focus on how power, identity, and gender shape leadership and organising processes. My research explores the intersections of leadership, identity, and ethics in contemporary organisations. Published in leading journals, it examines the lived experiences of leadership, critical perspectives on organising, and the cultivation of reflexive, responsible practice. I am also interested in broader social questions, including social movements, class tensions, and gender dynamics.
