Thomas D. Misslin is a Professor of Practice in executive education at emlyon business school. For more than 25 years, he has worked with managers and organizations in France and the United States to strengthen collective performance by focusing on the human side of enterprise, including management, leadership, and organizational culture. A former officer in the French Foreign Legion and the French reserve, Thomas holds an LL.M. from the University of Exeter and an M.B.A. from Seattle University. He is currently pursuing an Executive Ph.D. at Paris-Dauphine, where his research focuses on team learning from experience through a method developed by the U.S. Army in the 1980s. Thomas has authored or co-authored several books: Turning Experience into an Asset (UGA, 2026), The Leadership Toolbox (Dunod, 2026), Leadership Experience (Dunod, 2024), and Transforming Management, 2nd ed. (UGA, 2025). He regularly contributes to The Conversation (in France), Courrier Cadres, and Harvard Business Review (print and online, in France).
